I think we have to acknowledge that many in politics have a "rock star mentality," a hunger for power and recognition. There are some good ones, I believe, but in general we must, as Christians, understand that these are secular offices these people fill, and separate it from the Church. When we vote for a President, we are not foolish enough to think that we can vote in a Christian President who is going to set things straight. There will be no Christian Government until Christ returns, and I think we all groan for that Theocracy.
With the two choices I think seem obvious will be the two we will choose between, both are liberal. My wife recently read that Trump and the Clintons are actually friendly, which doesn't surprise me at all. So neither are good choices, but, does this mean we sit out? I say no. I will vote for Trump for a couple reasons. First, running as a Republican he will have an obligation to Republican voters, which has historically supported anti-abortion and anti-homosexual candidates. The opposite is Hillary, whose party has historically not only supported these two issues, but have advanced them.
Secondly, while many might not think Foreign Policy is something that impacts the Body of Christ, the opposite is true. Muslim sympathy has been one of Obama's greatest fallacies, and his weakness as a strong leader has advanced the Islamic Agenda, which ultimately impacts the cause of Christ. Many Christians have died during his terms, and it's basically swept under the rug. At the very least, Trump has taken a strong stance against a weak America, that has been taken advantage of in all the world. Her generosity is a direct result of Christian influence in this country, yet as is usually the case, kindness is often mistaken for weakness by enemies. When the Two Towers fell, a Canadian Journalist commented, loose quote, "When there is tragedy and disaster, anywhere in the world...America is always the first to respond with aid and support. But when she falls into tragedy and disaster...no-one responds with aid and support." That doesn't mean I think we should change that, but, at the same time, where our enemies are concerned, I think a little more wisdom could be exercised. For the first time in American History, I heard recently, when the President of the United States visited several countries, he was not met at the airport. This seems to be inconsequential, but it is an example of what Obama has done to the image of the President of the United States. It hsows contempt for what all of us can see has been a weak Presidency, probably the weakest to date. And it is not surprising for a man who began his Presidency going out into all the world begging forgiveness. The bottom line is that Islam has been emboldened and strengthened through His Presidency, and I see Trump as having the interests of America at heart far greater than Obama, and, far greater than Hillary Clinton. If she had a shred of integrity she would not even run, in light of her failures and clearly inadequate competency for such an Office as this.
Lastly, as I said, we need to remember that this is a secular Office. We are not voting in a deacon, or a Pastor, but someone to run a secular Office. We have Obama for a President because many Christians refused to vote for Romney, a Mormon. Despite the fact that Romney was a proven leader and financially savvy.
So my view is, when I vote for Trump, I am not actually voting for Trump. I am voting against abortion, against the Liberal Agenda, and against the rise of Islam. These are important issues to me, and I think many fail to see that we have been blessed with the freedoms we have enjoyed. Socialists like Obama and Clinton will continue to slowly remove the freedoms we enjoy, which help us in our efforts for Christ, until one day America will wake up and realize that her freedoms are gone, and America will fall into the category of every other great nation that has arisen in History.
A good example of the direction we are going is Obamacare: it is law that you have to buy insurance? This is Governmental strong-arming and no different than thugs walking into a Cleaners and demanding protection money. If one doesn't understand that, they simply aren't paying attention. It was promoted with lies (you can keep your doctor, your insurance plan, et cetera), yet who is held accountable when they are revealed as lies?
This is the Government the Founding Fathers feared, yet modern America votes for. This indicates the true State of the Union, and folks...it is absolutely horrendous. It is up to us, as the Body of Christ, to stand in the wings and use wisdom in an effort to stem the tide of America's downfall. Once that takes place, the safe haven God prepared for us as a base of operations for the conveyance of the Gospel of Christ...
...will be gone.
Then we shall be in the same state many Christians throughout the world today are in, under the thumb of dictators and threat of death for preaching the Gospel.
So I will vote for Trump, despite my dislike of the man, and pray that once he is in Office God will minister to the man, and perhaps he might not only grow up a little, but that he might be saved, and perform the Office of President with dignity that will demand respect, as did another actor that took Office once.
God bless.
